INDIAN ACT AND PENALTIES 


I'm going to tell about few Indian Acts and its penalty's. We would have paid many penalty's for not following the rule.But, how many of us know the corresponding offences and penalty for the following act?
As a solution for this problem, let us be aware of Indian Acts and its Penalties. 


THE CABLE TELEVISION NETWORKS(REGULATION) ACT, 1995

   This act is common for all Indians.Now-a-days, everywhere we can find television.Without cable connection a TV is similar to dance without a music.Let us see about the act.
It came into force on 29th September, 1994.

 According to the section 2,3,4,5,9,11,14,16,22

  1. Cable Television Network shouldn't be operated before getting registered
  2. Program should not be telecast-ed unless it has conformity with the prescribed program code,no one has the authority to re-transmit it. Provided that nothing in this section shall apply to the program-mes of foreign satellite channels which can be received without the use of any specialized gadgets or decoder.
  3. Advertisement should not be telecast-ed unless it has conformity with the prescribed ad. code,no one has the authority to re-transmit it.  Provided that nothing in this section shall apply to the advertisement of foreign satellite channels which can be received without the use of any specialized gadgets or decoder.
  4. It should not interfere with any other telecommunication system.
  5. Should not use an equipment to their television network unless such an equipment has a conformity with the Indian standard.

Penalty

  1. For the first offence                  - imprisonment of 2 yrs or with the fine extended to              Rs.1000/- or both.
  2. For the subsequent offences    - imprisonment extends to 5 yrs or above or with the fine extended to Rs.5000/- or above.
